Privacy Policy

When you register, we collect:

• Account information: name, email address, password (hashed), and optional phone number.
• Profile information: your Boston neighborhood and one-sentence baseball background, which you provide voluntarily.
• Game participation data: which games you register for, your role selections, RSVP status, and games played count.
• Communications: messages you send in the Club chat and any contact form submissions.

We also collect limited usage data automatically, including IP address, browser type, and pages visited, for security and analytics purposes.

• To manage your account and process game registrations
• To send confirmation emails and game-related communications
• To display your profile on the member roster (name, neighborhood, bio)
• To improve the Club experience and troubleshoot issues
• To enforce our Terms and Code of Conduct

All payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. We never store your credit card number, CVV, or full payment details on our servers. When you check out, you are submitting payment information directly to Stripe's secure servers.

Stripe may collect and process payment data in accordance with their own Privacy Policy. We receive a transaction confirmation and your email address from Stripe to activate your membership.

Your account data, game registrations, and chat messages are stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted by Supabase on secure, encrypted servers in the United States.

Access to your data is restricted to authenticated Club systems. We use row-level security to ensure members can only access their own sensitive data.

We use Resend to send transactional emails (registration confirmations, game reminders, rain notices). Your email address is shared with Resend for this purpose only.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your information with third parties for marketing purposes. Your data is shared only with service providers (Stripe, Supabase, Resend) as necessary to operate the Club.

Your name, Boston neighborhood, and baseball background bio are visible to other registered Club members on the roster page within the dashboard. This information is not publicly visible to non-members.

Your email address and phone number are never displayed to other members.

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you would like your data deleted, contact us at support@curveballclub.com and we will process the request within 30 days.

Financial records may be retained for up to 7 years for tax and legal compliance purposes.

We use session cookies to maintain your authentication state. These cookies are necessary for the site to function and are not used for tracking or advertising. No third-party advertising cookies are used.

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate information in your profile
• Request deletion of your account and data
• Opt out of non-essential communications

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email. Continued use of the Club after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
