The Club

This is not your rec league

We built this for people who love baseball but don't want to be locked into a roster. Show up, pick a role, play hard, then stick around if you want.

Real Baseball, Real Rules
Wood bats only, no walks, and no metal. Five-run inning limit with an open final inning. We play actual baseball with structure and pace, not a disorganized pickup game.
Hang Out After, If You're In
Most nights, a good chunk of the group sticks around nearby after — totally optional, but it's where a lot of the regulars actually get to know each other.
Pick Your Role
Pitcher, infield, outfield, DH, or umpire. You pick your spot on the role board before each game. First come, first served.
Neighborhood Chapters
Each chapter is rooted in its neighborhood, with its own field and its own regulars. The schedule follows the city's permit calendar.
Pay As You Go
$20 gets you one game. $200 covers the whole season. No contracts and no minimums.
How It Works

Four steps to game day

01
Find Your Chapter
Enter your zip and we'll show you the nearest chapters. Games are scheduled around permit availability, so check back for new dates.
02
Register & Pay
Create your profile, add a short intro, and check out securely with Stripe. $20 per game or $200 for the season.
03
Claim Your Role
Log into your dashboard, open Game Day, and pick a role on the board: pitcher, infield, outfield, DH, or umpire.
04
Show Up & Play
First pitch when we say. Bring your glove, wood bat, helmet, cleats, and 2 baseballs with your name on them.
Where We Play

One city. For now.

Right now, The Curveball Club runs games in Boston only. We'd rather get one city right before expanding to the next.

House Rules

Know the rules

We play real baseball with a few social-club modifications to keep the game moving and the vibe right.

01
Wood bats are the standard. A few club bats are available to borrow at the field; just ask when you arrive. High-performance aluminum and composite bats are not allowed.
02
No walks. Only swinging strikes count. Three swinging strikes is an out.
03
5 run limit per inning. Final inning is unlimited.
04
Ump's call is final. No arguing.
05
Runners must slide or avoid contact. Collisions are not tolerated.
06
Every player must bring their own glove, batting helmet, and cleats.
07
Every player must bring two baseballs to each game. Write your name on them.
08
Games start at the scheduled time, so be there a few minutes early. Latecomers join the next available rotation.
09
No bunting, no stealing, no pickoffs, no advancing on wild pitches.
10
Respect every player regardless of skill level. This is a social club first.
Equipment Required
Every player must bring their own glove, wood bat, batting helmet, and cleats. You also need to bring two baseballs with your name written on them to each game. Metal bats are not permitted under any circumstances.
